Eco-Solvent Ink and Latex Ink are both used in wide-format printing, but they have some key differences:
Eco-Solvent Ink:
- Made from ether extracts of refined mineral oil.
- Known for vibrant colors and good adhesion to various surfaces.
- Requires more time to outgas after printing.
- Generally considered more environmentally friendly than traditional solvent inks.
Latex Ink:
- Water-based and contains polymers.
- Does not emit volatile organic compounds (VOCs) during the printing process.
- Odorless and cures at a lower temperature, making it more energy-efficient.
- Prints are durable, resistant to fading and discoloration, and can be used almost immediately after printing.
